Botanical Enlightenment Gentle Mind Tisane

Made by our family’s company, Botanical Enlightenment, Gentle Mind is a loose-leaf tisane created to quiet the nervous system and bring calm to both body and mind. While often called “tea,” a tisane is technically an herbal infusion made from plants other than the tea leaf, offering a caffeine-free way to enjoy the full character and benefits of the herbs themselves.

This blend was crafted as a steady companion during times of stress, with herbs chosen for both their folk history and their studied effects on the body. Chamomile is one of the most recognized calming herbs, noted for its soothing influence on the nervous system and ability to promote rest. Passionflower helps calm racing thoughts by supporting the brain’s natural GABA activity, encouraging relaxation without grogginess. Lemon balm has long been used to ease anxiety and uplift mood, while oatstraw offers mineral-rich nourishment that restores resilience during periods of long-term stress.

Linden flower and lemon verbena bring a gentle lightness to the blend, easing emotional tension while supporting digestion. Fennel and calendula further balance the gut, a place where stress often shows itself most strongly. A touch of nutmeg rounds it out with quiet warmth, making this tisane especially comforting before bed or during a moment of pause.

How to brew: Scoop one teaspoon per cup of water. Steep in just-boiled water for 3–4 minutes. Strain and sip slowly. Each bag makes around 40 cups.
